- Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the expression levels of miRNA-153 and miRNA-223 in the serum of patients with Parkinson’s disease(PD)and their clinical value,as well as the correlation between the expression of miRNA-153 and miRNA-223 in the serum of PD patients and Hoehn-Yahr(H-Y)scales. 〖WTHZ〗Methods〖WTBZ〗The relative expression levels of serum miRNA-153 and miRNA-223 in 35 patients with PD(PD group)and 40 healthy people(healthy control group)were quantitatively detected. The H-Y scales of PD patients were evaluated. The results were analyzed. 〖WTHZ〗Results〖WTBZ〗The relative expression levels of serum miRNA-153 in PD group were significantly lower than that in healthy control group(t=5.71;P<0.01). The relative expression levels of serum miRNA-223 in PD group were also significantly lower than that in healthy control group(t=6.07;P<0.01). There was a negative correlation between the relative expression levels of serum miRNA-153 and H-Y scales in PD group(r=-0.4504,P<0.01). 〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖WTBZ〗Serum miRNA-153 and miRNA-223 may be used as biomarkers for the diagnosis of PD;serum miRNA-153 may become an indicator for evaluating the progress of PD.
