- Abstract: To discuss the clinical characteristics and the imaging characteristics of hemichorea associated with non-ketotic hyperglycemia. Methods Six cases of hospitalized patients in our hospital with Non-ketotic Hyperglycemia Hemichorea were collected,summary analysis the clinical characteristics,the imaging characteristics. Results All the Six patients were acute onset,previous diabetes or hyperglycemia was found,the symptoms were as follows Hemichorea. Patients all showed platy or striatal heperdensity in the contralateral basal ganglia on head CT,and show ganglia hyperintensity on T-1-weighted MR imaging,hypointensity on T-2WI,the boundary was clear,the lesions often disappeared after treatment. Conclusion Hemichorea associated with non-ketotic hyperglycemia is mainly related to hyperglycemia and has characteristic CT and MRI features.
