- Abstract: To investigate the relationship between SORL1 gene polymorphism and sporadic Alzheimer’s disease(Alzheimer’s disease,AD).Methods The SNP loci of SORL1 gene rs1010159,rs2282649,rs3824968,rs1699102,rs3781836,rs2070045,rs3781834,rs641120,rs689021,rs668387 and rs12364988 in 131 sporadic AD patients and 128 healthy controls in Xinjiang were detected by PCR amplification and DNA sequencing. Results There was no significant difference between AD group and control group in the polymorphisms of SNP loci rs1010159,rs2282649,rs3824968,rs1699102,rs3781836,rs2070045,rs3781834,rs641120,rs689021,rs668387,rs12364988 and rs985421 of SORL1 gene(P>0.05).Conclusion The polymorphisms of SNP loci rs1010159,rs2282649,rs3824968,rs1699102,rs3781836,rs2070045,rs3781834,rs641120,rs689021,rs668387,rs12364988 and rs985421 of SORL1 gene have no correlation with the pathogenesis of AD.
