Abstract: Objective To investigate the optimal order of infantile touching. Methods In our hospital from February 1st to April 30th 2014 a total of 1248 newborn touching peoplefrom head to foot, used the traditional top-down massage manipulation (as control group); May 1st to July 31st 2014 newborn touching people a total of 1309 new born, with the improved techniques: from the foot end to bottom-up against the tentacle method (as experimental group). The success rate of neonatal touch were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of the experiment group neonatal massage was 87.2%,significantly higher than that in the control group (29.7%)(χ2=18.552, P<0.05). The infants more quiet, comfortable, little panic restless mood in test group compared with the control group, the difference was statistical significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The detection of neonatal from the foot to the touch than the ab initio down massagemore comfortable in the clinical work, not easy to be noisy.
