Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of distal tibial fractures LISS combined with fumigation of chinese medicine on the recovery of ankle joint functions. Methods A total of 108 patients with distal tibial fractures who were admitted to our hospital from January 2012 to January 2014 were selected. All patients were given the treatment of im-planting LISS steel plate by MIPPO technology. 108 patients were assigned to an observation group and a control group according to the method of random number table, with 54 patients in each. Patients in the observation group were given fumigation of chinese medicine 2 weeks after the surgery. Clinical effects and function scores after the surgery were compared between the two groups of patients. Results Scores of swelling, functions and X-ray in the observation group were (33.61±2.85), (16.13±2.34), and (30.21±3.01) respectively. Scores of swelling, functions and X-ray in the control group group were (30.15±2.12), (12.21±1.68), and (34.04±3.61) respectively. Swelling, functions and X-ray in the obser vation group were all better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate in the observation group was 96.30%, while in the control group was 81.48%. Clinical effects in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences between two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion LISS in the treatment of distal tibial fractures has a favorable clinical effect and fast recovery after surgery. Its combination with fumigation of chinese medicine is able to promote the recov-ery of ankle joint functions, which is worthy of further clinical promotion and application.
