Clinical therapeutic effect comparative study of total hip replacement and artificial femoral head replacement for the treatment of femoral neck fracture in the elderly

Abstract:
Objective To compare the effect of total hip replacement and artificial femoral head replacement in treat-ment of femoral neck fractures in senile patients. Methods All 100 patients were selected as the research object in our hospital from 2009 June to 2014 June, all aged over 60 years old, signed the informed consent. The patients were di-vided into A group and B group,with 50 cases in each group,group A underwent total hip arthroplasty,group B under-went artificial femoral head replacement. Results All the patients were follow-up for 1 years,the follow-up rate A was 100%. The excellent rate of hip joint function after operation in group A was 84%, the excellent rate in B group was 62%,there were significant differences (χ2=6.329,P<0.05). Display the postoperative follow-up of 3, 6 months, the Harris score in group A after 6 months compared with after surgery 3 months significantly increased, and the Harris score in group A after 3 months,6 months were higher than that of group B,there were significant differences(P<0.05). Operation time of A group were significantly longer than those of group B,the amount of bleeding,postoperative group A after drainage were significantly more than that in group B, the difference was significant(P<0.05). The incidence of complications of group A and B, with no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion Total hip arthroplasty and hemiarthroplasty was one of effective methods to treat femoral neck fractures in the elderly, the advantages and disad-vantages of each, the treatment of senile femoral neck according to the specific circumstances of patients timely, rea-sonable selection of treatment method of the bone fracture, as soon as possible to relieve pain, reduce the femoral neck fracture serious complications,reduce the mortality rate.
