Abstract: Recent studies have found that neuronal damage events precede abnormal deposition of β-amyloid (Aβ), and Aβ plaques may not be the direct cause of AD, but only the pathological manifestation of AD, but abnormal Aβ deposition is closely related to AD, so it is important to explore the mechanism of abnormal Aβ deposition in diagnosis and treatment of AD. The abnormal Aβ deposition has been linked to autophagy dysfunction, pyroptosis, ferroptosis and meningeal lymphatic vessels (Mlvs) reflux disorder, therefore, this paper reviews the roles of autophagy dysfunction, pyroptosis, ferroptosis and Mlvs reflux disorder in abnormal Aβ deposition during AD, aiming to find new targets for AD intervention.
