Abstract: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are a complex group of neurodevelopmental disorders. High heritability in ASD is still controversial, but epigenetics can better explain the pathogenesis of ASD and make up the lack of heritability research. This review discusses the role of epigenetic modification in ASD pathogenesis by analyzing the related research on epigenetic mechanism of ASD at home and abroad, in order to provide new treatment ideas and theoretical basis for clinical practice.
