Abstract: Micro RNAs in body fluids, enjoying convenient collection and less invasion, have the potential of being biomarkers of intracranial aneurysm (IA), and are suitable for early screening and rupture prediction of IA. The stable micro-RNAs (circulating micro RNAs) in serum, plasma and other body fluids are involved in regulating the functions of vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells, and play important roles in pathophysiological process of IA progression. In this paper, the current research progress of circulating micro RNAs as biomarkers in the early diagnosis, rupture prediction and prognoses of IA are summarized as follows.
