Abstract: Ischemic stroke (IS) is the result of a combination of multiple risk factors, and its pathogenesis involves multiple systemic physiological and pathological changes. Recent studies have found that the activation of renin-angiotensin system (RAS) is closely related to the development of IS. In this review, we mainly summarize the generation of RAS and pathogenesis of RAS in IS.
