Abstract:
Ferroptosis is a novel method of programmed cell death,which is described in an article published in Cell in 2012.As the mechanism of ferroptosis is verified and depicted in many studies,many tissue protective effects of this novel death pattern are showed in many scenarios.In many studies,ferroptosis shows tight connection with many neuronal diseases.This essay will review these studies on many aspects about mechanisms as well as neurological and neurosurgical issues associated with ferroptosis.
