Abstract: Red blood cells, although their main function is currently considered to be oxygen delivery, are also closely related to immunity. There are increasing evidences that immature erythroid cells play important roles in diseases, especially in the development of tumors. This review mainly focused on the progress in the immunoregulation function of immature CD71 + erythroid cells and their roles under physiological and pathological states.
