Abstract: Crohn disease is prone to complications such as intestinal fibrosis, stenosis, and even intestinal obstruction, with limited treatment options and unsatisfactory results. Its pathogenesis involves genetic, immune, environmental, and gut microbiota aspects. Exploring early predictive factors for intestinal fibrosis stenosis in Crohn disease plays an important role in early disease prediction, disease assessment, treatment evaluation, and recurrence monitoring. This article provides a series of reviews on the current biomarkers of Crohn disease-related intestinal fibrosis.
