Abstract: Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is one of the most serious microvascular complications of diabetes and a common cause of end-stage renal disease.Early kidney injury lacks typical clinical symptoms and its onset is insidiously.The common clinical indicators of kidney injury are urine microalbumin,glomerular filtration rate,etc.Due to their lack of sensitivity and specificity,it is easy to cause missed diagnosis,misdiagnosis,and delay the disease.Therefore,it is of great significance to find more convenient,stable,and less invasive detection indicators for the early diagnosis of DKD.This paper reviews the research progress of biological indicators related to glomerular and tubular injury,oxidative stress,inflammatory response,microRNA and proteomics,which provides a certain reference value for the early diagnosis of clinical DKD.
