Abstract:
Background: Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection induces inflammation in gastric mucosa, and the production of nitric oxide (NO) may increase in response to the inflammation. However, the correlations between NO concentration in exhaled air and the severity of gastric inflammation and Hp infection are not clear. Aims: To explore the influence of Hp infection on fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO), an indicator of airway inflammation, and the relationship between FeNO and severity of gastric inflammation.
