In the Central Institute of Ophtalmology from January to September 2003, 35 patients with glaucoma and cataract underwent a surgery for removing lense and replacing cristallina in combining with treating glaucoma. After follow-up of 10 days, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months, the results of crushing of cristalline and placing artificial lense, cristalline in combining with sclerotabeculectomy had regulated interral optic pressure in 100% of cases with a reducing level of 12mmHg. There was not any case of recurrent. Visual acuity was rehabilitated quickly and consisitently, 66.7% of cases reached an acuty of > 5/10.

4.The relationship between the deficiency of C4A and systemic lupus erythematosus
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;472(2):56-57
69 patients with systemic lupus erythema (SLE) at the Central Institute of Dermatology and Venerology were studied on. The control group included 57 healthy blood donors. The investigation on the existance of 2bp compression phenomenon on exon 29 using PCR technique showed that: C4A deficiency caused by 2bp compression on exon 29 was not detected on these patients of SLE and in control subjects also. There was no relation between the deficiency of the gene encoding C4A caused by 2bp compression on exon 29 and the development of SLE.

A survey was conducted in 7 provinces representative for 7 ecological zones of the country. The aim was to determine mother’s mortality, direct and indirect causes of the death and factors related to mother’s mortality of 61.341 women who gave birth living infants. The estimative of mother’s mortality was 165/100.000 living born children. The risk of mother mortality accounted for 1/334. Direct fatal causes included hemorrhage, pre-eclampsy, infection, complication of artificial abortion, uterin breakage, ectopic pregnancy… Indirect causes included heart disease, hepatitis or liver diseases, cerebrovascular accidents, tuberculosis and malaria. The outcome of treatment for endogenous endophthalmitis is limit, with 57.33% has visual acuity limited to light perception or totally blind. Retinal detachment appears in 10.67% of all cases. 2.67% has ocular atrophy and 18.67% require the necessity for enucleation

Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;472(2):68-69
58 cases including 46 females aged from 27-61 and 12 males subjects aged from 40-78) underwent a fat tissue removal through conjunctive using CO2 laser. X-ray images were made before and 7-8 days after operation. 15 subjects was given 10mg diazepam orally before the operation. Results showed: no severe complication (such as optic nerve atrophy and blind, diplopia, infection, chronic blepharitis, pathological scar… In 7th day, the incision was completely closed. Transient complications such as bluish black in eye area occurred in 10 among 15 subjects underwent removal fat tissues of the lower lip in combining with plastic operation on the upper lip. Edema occurred in most of cases. There was uncomfortable feeling in the eyes lasting 2-3 first days after the operation. Intervention made most of patients satisfied.
