1.Dehydropregnenolon acetat synthesized from 3 beta-acetoxy-pregn-5-en-17 beta-OL-20-YN
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):11-14
Researching synthetic method of Dehydropregnenolon acetat (DPA, 3β-acetoxy-pregn-5, 16-dien-20-on) from 3β- acetoxy-pregn-5-en 17β-ol-20-yn, a conclusion is given that using this method dicobalt hexacarbonyl was created in the first time in group acethylen, 3β- acetoxy-pregn-5-en 17β-ol-20-yn is synthesized with good output from equivalent 17β- hydroxy derivative. Respond not attach generates auxiliary products like known methods. Through two methods hydrating and hydrating in gentle conditions, dehydro pregnenolon acetat is synthesized with quite good output from 3β- acetoxy-pregn-5-en 17β-ol-20-yn. Intermediary compounds and final products characterized by melt point, infared spectrum, proton magnetic spectrum and weight spectrum

2.Removing anion superoxide free radicals activity and anti-oxidative hepato- and cerebro- protector properties in rats (in vitro) of fluid extract from Gynura procumbens (Lour.) Merr
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):14-17
The extract of dried herb of Gynura procubens, ratio 1:1, is used for antioxidative activity. In special, to strongly inhibit the free formation of anion superoxide O2, reaches 49.63% among 160mg/ml. To inhibit the peroxide lipid the same mouse liver's cells: 33.30mg/ml (inhibition 14.78%); and with 166.50mg/ml, the MDA is about 58.90%. There is inhibiting effect for peroxide lipid in the liquid of mice brain's cells

3.Determination of chemical structure of antifungal Pityrosporum orbiculare ingredient from Alpinia galanga Swartz in Vietnam
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):17-21
Greater galangal rhizomes have been used as medicinal herbs to treat pityriasis versicolor and other diseases. By using a premilinary examination from TLC and the antifungal activity against Pityrosporum orbiculare, a new component was extracted from rhizomes of Alpinia galanga Swartz in Vietnam. The chemical structure of this component was determined by GC-MS and 1H & 13C NMR. Galangal acetate was a colorless, pungent and oily liquid. It showed the antifungal activity against P. orbiculare with MIC = 0.25 ml/ml

4.Elaboration of protocol in dosage of ferulic acid in Radix angelicae sinensis by HPLC
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):21-24
The extracted and purified ferulic acid residue from Radix angelicae sinensis was quantified by an established HPLC system composed of the following conditions: reversed phase column C-18 Purosphere 4.6mm 1D x 250 mm (5mm); mobile phase: acetonitrile/potassium dihydrophosphate 10 mM/L (15/85); pH: 4.5; flow rate: 1.2 mL/min; column temperature: 30oC. The results showed that the method can meet the following criteria: Rs > 1.5, RSD < 2%, N > 1 000, Tf in the range 0.8-1.2

5.Study on evaluation of bioavailability of rifampicin in mixed antituberculous drug with 2 and 3 components available in Vietnam
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):25-29
Comparative bioavailability study of rifampicin from 2-FDC and 3- FDC with standard separate tablets at the same dose level was conducted in 12 healthy volunteers. The study was designed as a cross-over experiment with a washout period of 1 week. Bioavailability of rifampicin was estimated by plasma concentration of rifampicin from Oh to 24h after dosed. Plasma rifampicin concentration was determined by HPLC method. The results revealed that: Cmax and AVC for rifampicin in 2-FDC and 3FDC formulation were lower (but Tmax were higher) than the standard separate formulations. It was concluded that FDC tablets are of poor relative bioavailabity of rifampicin. The implication for National Tuberculosis Programme is extremely serious and warrants urgent attention

6.Evaluation of analgesic effectiveness of 30 mg morphine sulfate gelules from domestic production on cancer patients
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):29-32
The analgesic efficacy of Morphin sulfate capsule 30mg manufactured domestically was evaluated in 59 cancer patients. Time of action onset after the first 30mg dose was 15-60 minutes (35-45 min in 70.6% patients) and the analgesic effect lasted from 2.5 to 12 hrs (4-5 hrs in 59.3% patients), depending on patients' pain score prior to administration of drug. Generally, 77.9%, 11.9% and 10.2% patients acquired good, moderate and poor results from analgesic treatment, respectively

7.Some subject about standardization, increase drug quality, and security degree of drug material with herbal origin
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;0(2):8-11
Problem of guarantee drug quality in safe respect for drug with herbal origin has been cared. Vietnam took part in Forum of agreement in drug with herbal origin Asian Northeastern and Western Pacific of WHO. Vietnam Ministry of Health promulgated “ Guide for studying and assessment safety and effect of Viet nam traditional medicines” in 1996. The safety of traditional medicines had related to many problems in which there were safe standard within the scope of drug quality standard . III Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia has 276 medical treatises, 37 oriental medicine product treatises, however, there was not criterion for quality guarantee on safety respect. Therefore, we need to step by step giving requests for criterion of test drug with herbal origin

8.Study on proliferation in vitro and mineral composition of Phyllathus amarus by combined activated neutron analysis
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;282(10):6-9
The conservation of precious source of medicinal herb from traditional medicine phyllathus amarus (= P. niruri L.) was effectively conducted by in vitro propagation. The process of in vitro propagation of this culture consists of main following stages: (1) Start budding: suitable materials are meristems, apical buds and auxiliary buds; Rapid propagation: The medium for highest propagation coefficient is MS; creating complete plantlets: rapid root differentiation with good quality roots is observed in the medium MS+ NAA; in nurseries: the suitable substrate for ex-vitro stage is black sandy soils; (2) The medium able to form potassium at highest rate is MS + 2.4D; (3) The analysis of mineral compositions shows low contents of heavy metals and rare earth elements (REE), but considerably high in potassium, that may be due to diuretic activity of P. amarus.
