1.Primarily study on the relation of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in hepatitis B and hepatitis C viral carrier
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):5-12
From 1/1999 to 11/2000, 120 patients had diagnosed new ITP (male 33.3%), female (66.7%). All these patients had checked antigen-antibody of B-C hepatitis and evaluated correclation between ITP and carrier antigen Hepatitis B-C. Results of our study:- There were significant difference between ITP disease and carrier anti-HCV but there were not significant difference between ITP disease and carrier antigen (HbsAg). Cortcoid therapy is still a respond to the patient ITP (HbsAg+) but no responds to the patients ITP antiHCV+.

2.On occasion of one case of the left posterior communicating carotid aneurysm
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;263(9):156-158
Intracranial aneurysms focus very often in the polygonal of Willis. They appear at the site of carotid-posterior communicating artery with high rate. Headache usually appears in these lesions. Subarachnoid hemorrhage is an early complication. Cerebral angiography plays a very important part in the diagnosis of these lesions but enhanced CT-Scanner can reveal them easily. We used sugita clip in the treatment of this aneurysm and had a good result. This spring clip that remains international standards is applied in spreading around the world.

3.Detection of breast cancer and other breast diseases in 3 communes of Th¸i Nguyªn city
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2002;277(10):21-25
Education for breast self-examination, clinical examination, and fine needle aspiration biopsy was carried out in 1915 women, aged 16 to 74 at 3 communes (ThÞnh §¸n, Trung Thµnh, T©n Thanh) in Th¸i Nguyªn City. Results indicated that: breast cancer was detected in 0.1% of cases while other breast diseases were found in 4.7% of cases. Breast self-examination in very helpful in the diagnosis of breast diseases. The researchers recommended that people need to be educated how to self-examine their breast in order to reveal breast cancer and other breast diseases.

4.Review of 41 deaths due to the primary bronchial cancer
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;225(9):48-53
Basing on the data of 41 patients who died due to primary carcinoma of the bronchus and all underwent necropsy, the authors note the clinical and paraclinical features of the diseases as follows: 1/ the modes of onset can be ranged in 3 groups: a/ respiratory symptoms (cough, chest pain, etc...): 29/41 (70.7%); b/ General symptoms (anorexia, tiredness, etc.): 9/41 (21.9%); c/ Radiological abnormalities only 3/41 (7.3%). 2/ The physical signs are seen in most patients: 40/41 (97.5%), among them diminished breath sounds are often noted: 27/41 (65.8%) and before pleuritic syndrome: 8/41 (19.5%). 3/ The radiological abnormalities are limited in 6 groups, three of which are the most common appearances: hilar and medicastinum shadows: 10/26(30.4%). 4/ History: adenocarcinoma: 21/41 (51.2%); epidermoid carcinoma: 16/41 (39%); oat cell carcinoma: 4/41 (9.8%).

5.Contribution to establishment and completion of some criteria of cytologic diagnosis in 5 frequent bronchial cancers
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;263(9):9-14
Contribution to the establishment and /or improvement of study on some criteria of cytologic diagnosis 5 major lung carcinomas. 50 cases of lung cancer including 14 squamous carcinomas, 18 adenocarcinomas, 8 large cell carcinomas, 8 small cell carcinomas and 2 adeno-squamous carcinomas were diagnosed cytologically and confirmed by histological confrontation. Criteria of cytologic diagnosis were presented and discussed.

Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2002;277(10):45-49
One hundred and nine patients with squamous cell carcinoma of lung, including 67 cases had bronchoscopic biopsy sampling and 42 cases had surgical samplings, were studied and histologically classified according to WHO Classification - 1999. Results indicated that: (1) Male/ Female ratio were 4.17/1 to 6.44/1; (2) Four variants of squamous cell carcinoma were found; (3) Identification of exact those variants required larger samplings or surgical sampling from different sites of tumors; (4) Histological criteria for every variants were presented and discussed.

7.Evaluation of effect of Ketosteril in patients with chronic renal impairment after 6 months of the combination of the treatment with low protein diet
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;258(4):74-79
Study was carried out on 22 patients with chronic renal failure at B¹ch Mai Hospital from 5/1999-7/2000, these had clearance creatinine <30ml/min and creatinine 300-900mmol/l. 22 patients received a very low protein dietary (VLPD) 0.4g protein/kg body weight/24h and supplemented with Ketosteril 1 tablet/5kg/24h. The results: VLPD supplemented with Ketoanalogues can slow the progression of chronic renal failure without malnutritional status, metabolism disorder status of some substances associated with high uremia can be improved. Proteinuria decreased, drug is safe with renal failure patients.

8.Value of embolization of carotidocarvenous fistula with interventive X-ray
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;265(11):73-78
In duration of 11 months (12/1999-10/2000) 22 case of carotidocarvenous fistula (CCF) have been confirmed by angiography. 18 patients were treated by endovascular method with 17 procedures performed with detachable balloons. The remaining case was done using coils. Results of the 18 patients who underwent endovacular methods, caroticocavenous fistulae in 17 patients resolved completely. Two patients needed additional session which likewise showed good results. There is one failed case which is still awaiting for another interventive session.

9.Clinical and histological features in 11 cases of castlemen
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2002;227(10):56-60
Castlemen disease is a lymphoproliferative disorder of unknown etiology, was first described as a distinct entity by Castlemen et al in 1956. The disease has two clinical (localized and multicentric) and two histopathological forms (hyalinevascular and plasma cell). This disease is usually, clinically misunderstood as lymphoma, carcinoma metastatic-lymph nodes, or tuberculosis. We, therefore, represent clinicopathological findings of 11 cases of Castlemen disease seen in Hanoi K Hospital. Results: Most patients are women (F:M=4.5:1), age ranges from 15-52 year old with average is 33. The affected nodes are often enlarged (3cm in 63.6%). Localized form is prominent with proportion of 63.6%. The treatment is still problematic, but complete surgical excision is the treatment of choice for localized form and is generally curative.

10.use of the immunological marks in the diagnosis and treatment of the malignant hematological diseases
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;263(9):18-24
At the blood transfusion and heamatology centre of Ho Chi Minh city, we performed phenotyping for 158 cases of acute leukemia diagnosed from 04/98 to 10/1998. Basing on these results, we go further to monitor residual disease depending on the presence of aberant antigens and DNA content. The enumeration of progenitor cell CD34+ also performed for leukemia patient during the bone marrow transplantation
