302 teeth with wedge-shaped defect in 168 patients were restored by SDR(smart dentin replacement,n =112),glass ionomer (n =98) and light-cured composite resin(n =92) respectively.12 to 15 month follow-up showed the success rate was 96.2%,84.8% and 86.2% respectively(P < 0.01).SDR is an ideal material in restoring wedge-shaped defect.

Working time of normal setting impression materials was 71 (hand mixing,30 s),66 (Alghamix,20 s) and 53 (Algimax-Ⅱ,8 s) seconds respectively.Working time of fast setting impression materials was 56 (hand mixing,30 s) and 51 (Alghamix 20 s) seconds respectively.Setting time of normal setting impression materials was 163 (hand mixing,30 s),160(Alghamix 20 s) and 124(Algimax-Ⅱ,8 s)seconds respectively.Setting time of fast setting impression materials were 131 (hand mixing,30 s) and121 (Alghamix 20 s) seconds. The working and setting time of normal setting impression materials mixed by hand mixing(30 s) and auto-mixing (Alghamix 20 s;Algimax-Ⅱ,8 s) and fast setting impression materials mixed by hand mixing(30 s) and with auto-mixing using Alghamix (20 s) may satisfly clinical requirement.

To compare the microleakage of fiber post and resin-core system fabricated by different methods. The roots of 36 recently extracted single-rooted mandibular premolars were undergone endodontic treatment.Fiber posts and Paracore flowable resin composite were used for fabricating post-core restorations.Microleakage was examined by dye penetration method. The microleakage value was significantly higher in Direct-Mold-Cement-Method group(4.94 ± 1.71) mm compared to Direct-Mold-Secondary-Cement-Method group(0.91 ±0.33) mm and Indirect-Mold-Secondary-Cement-Method group (0.87 ± 0.27) mm (P < 0.05).

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of Xipayi Mouth Rinse in the treatment of halitosis.Methods:PubMed/MEDLINE,China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) (1979-2015) and Weipu Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals (1989-2013) were systemically searched. The methodological quality of the included trials was assessed based on the Jadad scale and the available data were analyzed with RevMan software (version 5.3).Results:8 studies involving 608 participants satisfied the minimum criteria for Meta-analysis.The evidence showed that the Organoleptic Score (OS) of Xipayi Mouth Rinse compared with placebo for treatment of halitosis was [WMD =-0.43,95% CI (-0.57,-0.29)],plaque index (PLI) [WMD =-1.59,95% CI (-1.67,-1.51)];the OS of Xipayi Mouth Rinse compared with western medicine [WMD =0.16,95% CI (0.05,0.28)],PLI [WMD =0.10,95% CI(0.03,0.18)];the total efficiency of Xipayi Mouth Rinse compared with normal saline was[RR:1.64,95% CI(1.11,2.42)].Conclusion:The current clinical evidence showed that the effectiveness of Xipayi Mouth Rinse in the treatment of halitosis is higher than the Placebo, but lower than western medicine.
7.Position change of upper incisors and molars after extraction of first premolars in cases with Angle class I malocclusion and crowding
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(01):-
Objective: To observe the position change of the upper mol ar s and incisors in cases with Angle class I malocclusion and crowding treated by extraction of four first premolars. Methods: 20 patients with An gle class I malocclusion and crowding aged 14-16 years old, 8 male and 12 femal e, were treated by extraction of the four first premolars, and Edgewise applianc e. Two X-ray cephalometry films were taken for every patient before and after t reatment, cephalometry measurements were obtained and the position of the upper molars and incisors were analyzed. Results:The treatment was co mpleted in 18 month on average in all patients. After treatment, the crown of th e upper first molars showed mesial displacement of 3.15 mm on average, the crown of the upper incisors distal displacement of 2.55 mm, the crown of the lowe r first molars mesial displacement of 4.3 mm, the crown of the lower incisors d istal displacement of 1.77 mm. Conclusion: With of dental anchor age, the position changes of the upper molars and incisors in the cases with Ang le class I malocclusion and crowding after extraction treatment may be achived.I n relation to RL line, the mesial displacement of molars are larger than the dist ally displacement of incisors.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(01):-
Objective: To investigate the roots and canals morphology o f extracted maxillary first premolars. Methods: The root morphol ogy and the root canals of 115 extracted maxillary first premolars were visualiz ed on radiographs taken in the mesio-distal direction, then the teeth were cut transversely and root sections were examined, the root canal systems was analyse d with Vertucci’s classification. Results: 74(64%) teeth were w ith one root, 41(36%) with two roots, all teeth with two roots had two canals a nd each canal with one apical foramen,〔TypeⅠ(1)〕.39% of the single-root teet h demonstrated one canal, whereas 61% of the single-root teeth had two canals, 〔TypeⅡ(2-1), TypeⅣ(2) and TypeⅤ(1-2)〕.Conclusions: The roots of maxillary first premolars possesses a variety of canal system types.
