Objective A pronunciation aid device had been made by using dental prosthodontic method for the treatment of pronunciation disorder, which is caused by movement dysfunction because of defect of soft palate tissues in cleft lip and palate patients.Methods According to the defect condition in the mouth, two types of pronunciation aid devices had been produced regularly by using maxillary impression, plaster casting and thermoplastic resin materials and so on. Results In the first group of cases, after 3 patients were wearing soft palate movement pronunciation aid device, and then they were given pronunciation training, it is found that their language clearances degrees had been promoted obviously. In the second group of cases, 2 patients were wearing naso-pharynx cavity closing pronunciation aid device, it is found that their nasal sound and nasal leakage were disappeared. And in the same time we gave patients pronunciation training, and after one year, their language clearances degrees were found to be more obviously increased than before.Conclusions Naso-pharynx cavity closing pronunciation aid device and soft palate movement pronunciation aid device are an effective non-surgical treatment methods for the treatment of naso-pharynx cavity closing dysfunction and soft palate movement dysfunction.

Objective To observe the different efficacy of combination of inhaled ipratropium bromide and salbutamol and inhaling the two drugs separately. The research and development (R & D) of novel Chinese materia medica (CMM) have made a great progress in recent years.But problems still exist in druggability evaluation of novel CMM,such as uncertain evaluation content and lack of key technology.Druggability evaluation is the key to the success or failure for R & D of novel CMM.Observation on the effect and safety of novel CMM is the core of druggability evaluation.The important pharmacological problems include the choice of evaluation indicator,clinical indication,analysis of material basis,investigation of mechanism,research on pharmacokinetics and safety evaluation.Modem technologies should be used in druggability evaluation.We should have a correct understanding of the concept of novel CMM.The grasp of the meaning of novel drugs and the essence of CMM theory will be helpful for R & D of novel CMM.

Through the study and analysis of doctor-patient relationship in the morden medical conditions in China,in this article,the author,combing with her medical praltice for many years,points out some principal problems existing in the relationship,and also puts forward some feasible countermeasures which will be helpful to set up harmonious doctor-patient relationship and ensure the durable and normal development of Chinese medical and healthy cause.

Objective To sum up the experiences of tongue repair after radical operation of tongue carcinoma with free forearm flap in the last two years. Methods The clinical data of 26 patients underwent forearm free flap transfer for tongue repair from February 2002 to February 2004 were retrospectively analysed . Results Among the 26 grafted forearm flaps, 25 survived. Only one flap occurred arterial thrombosis and necrosis after the second operation.All the patients were followed up for 6 months to 2 years. Reconstruction tongues had suitable volume and shape as well as perfect movement ability. Conclusion Free forearm flap was suitable to repair the tongue defect after radical operation of tongue caicinoma. The rate of operation success was high, and reconstructed tongues could basically meet patient's normal life.

College students' employment viewpoint has transferred ultimately from traditional"government-planning assignment" to modern job-seeking mechanism of "two way choice and independent option".Recently,medical college has reformed clinical teaching in 5-years program.But some problems still exist in clinical teaching reflected from the employment situation of medical graduates and the evaluation of recruiting employers.Some work can be done to solve problems existing in medical students' employment.It is an important issue in adapting social requirement through reforming the model of clinical teaching and arranging the period of clinical training reasonably.
