1.Recent progress on study of the selection of intraocular lens in the bilateral sequential cataract surgery
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(6):560-562
Bilateral sequential cataract surgery is very common in clinical, but the ophthalmologists often ignore how to choose the timing of operation and whether the first eye can be used to improve the intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation for the second one.Despite the refinements in IOL selection with the use of third-generation IOL formulas,5% of eyes still result in a postoperative refractive surprise of ± 1.00 D or more. This paper introduced the methods of using refraction error of the first eye to improve the IOL power calculation for the second eye,and the refractive error of the second eye can be improved by modifying the IOL power to correct up to 50% of the error from the first eye in details.Because of the variation of the postoperative refractive surprise within a month, the interval of three to four weeks between two eyes cataract surgery is highly recommended. These conclusions may provide the advantageous guidance for us in the selection of IOL in bilateral cataract surgery.
2. Pharmacokinetics of fondaparinux sodium in Chinese patients after major thoracic surgery
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(24):2022-2025
OBJECTIVE: To characterize the pharmacokinetics of a single dose of 2.5 mg fondaparinux sodium in Chinese patients after thoracic surgery. METHODS: Thirteen patients were enrolled in the study and were given a single dose of 2.5 mg fondaparinux sodium via a subcutaneous injection. Plasma concentrations of fondaparinux sodium were measured throughout a 24 h period. The pharmacokinetic analysis was performed using WinNonlin software. RESULTS: The following pharmacokinetic parameters were derived; t1/2(7.92 ± 3.13) (4.21-15.89) h, tmax(2.52 ± 0.93) (1.38-4) h, p-1 (0.73 ± 0.18) (0.45-1.02) mg · L-1, AUClast(6. 56 ± 2.19) (3.07-9. 75)mg · h · L-1, Vz/F(3.54 ± 1.00) (2.24-5.73) L, CL/F(0.34 ± 0.14) (0.16-0.63) L · h-1, and MRTlast (6.98 ± 2.1) h. The pearson correlation coefficient, r was 0.7283(P = 0.005) between the serum creatinine(Scr) and mean residence time(MRTlast) of fondaparinux. CONCLUSION: The disposition of fondaparinux is highly variable in patients. A statistical significant correlation between Scr and MRTlast of fondaparinux was observed. Fondaparinux sodium administered by intravenous injection is well tolerated in patients.

4.Cluster ensemble algorithm based on dual neural gas applied to cancer gene expression profiles.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(1):93-98
The microarray technology used in biological and medical research provides a new idea for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. To find different types of cancer and to classify the cancer samples accurately, we propose a new cluster ensemble framework Dual Neural Gas Cluster Ensemble (DNGCE), which is based on neural gas algorithm, to discover the underlying structure of noisy cancer gene expression profiles. This framework DNGCE applies the neural gas algorithm to perform clustering not only on the sample dimension, but also on the attribute dimension. It also adopts the normalized cut algorithm to partition off the consensus matrix constructed from multiple clustering solutions. We obtained the final accurate results. Experiments on cancer gene expression profiles illustrated that the proposed approach could achieve good performance, as it outperforms the single clustering algorithms and most of the existing approaches in the process of clustering gene expression profiles.

5.Correlation of incidence of dysentery in Shaanxi province and Yunqi theory
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(11):-
Dysentery is one of the digestive system diseases, which has a higher incidence rate. The aim of present study was to further explore the incidence of dysentery and get the better prevention of this disease. The data were collected and statistically analyzed from Shaanxi Province for the monthly incidence of dysentery in 22 years. In addition, according to the Yunqi theory and related incidence of diseases, the correlation between the incidences of dysentery and Suiyun, Sitian, Zaiquan and Six-qi were summarized systematically. This study provides a reference for the incidence of dysentery.
7.THE ESTIMATION OF ?-TOCOPHEROL IN HUMAN BLOOD BY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(04):-
The estimation of a-tocopherol in human blood was carried out by gas chromatography. The cholesterol in plasma must he removed in advance. The a-tocopherol is chromatographed as tocopherol acetate and is eluted with a retention time of about 8 min. Tetratriacontane was used as internal standard. The average recovery rate was 76.4 per cent and coefficient of variation was 4.4 per cent (N = 10). The mean level in 25 cord blood was 2.1 ?0.5 ?g/ml. It correlated well with the results by spectrophotome-tric method (r=0.6803 P
8.PERIODICITY OF NEURONAL DISCHARGE IN VENTROMEDIAL HYPOTHALAMIC NUCLEUS OF RAT
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(04):-
Unit discharges of neurons of the hypothalamic ventromedial nucleus region (HVM) and its surrounding structures including paraventricular nucleus, anterior hypothalamic area, and hypolhalamic dorsomcdial nucleus, were recorded in the ureth-ane-anesthetized and flaxidel-immobilized rats. In HVM,8 of 82 units showed periodical fluctuations in discharge rate, which could be categorized into two types: (1) With alternating active and silent phases 5 (2) with gradually waxing and waning phases. The duration of cach cycle varied from 1 to 5 minutes in different neurons. The periodicity disappeared after intraperitoneal injection of nembutal, while the average discharge rate was raised somewhat. This result suggested that the depressing pha-s of periodical activity of the HVM neuron might probably result from the inhibitory action in certain neuronal circuit, rather than from the intrinsic property of the recorded neurons. The effect of picrotoxin was contradictory. No periodical activity was noted in the 47 recorded neurons outside of the HVM.
9.Relation of FCM DNA content and S-phase fraction to the biological characteristics of lung cancer
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the relation of DNA content and SPF to the clinicopathological characteristic in lung cancer. Methods Fresh specimens taken from 56 patients with lung cancer and 36 patients with non-malignant pulmonary lesions were measured for DNA index(DI),S-phase fraction(SPF) by using FACSCalibur 4200 flow cytometry. Results ① DNA index(DI) of lung cancer was 1.18?0.33,0.99?0.07 in lung cancer and non-malignant groups, respectively. The percentage of heteroploid was 78.6% in lung cancer,(5.6%) in non-malignant.DI and the positive rate of heteroploid were significantly higher in lung cancer groups than that in non-malignant group(P0.05);③ It was demonstrated that SPF was significant higher in lung cancer groups than that in non-malignant group. The SPF of heteroploid tumors was higher than that of diploid tumors(P

Up to 92.9% of the giant cystic lesions inabdomen was benign. Each disease was of its own features on CT scans and certainly location. Conclusion CT is very effective imagingmodality in localization and qualitative diagnosis of the giant cystic lesions in abdomen.
