1.Design of blood dialysis water supply system
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(04):-
Blood dialysis is a long-term constant cure for imperfect chronic nephrosis, in which the water quality plays an important role. Since high purified water for blood dialysis is obtained by reverse osmosis film separation, the quality of reverse osmosis unit is critical for water quality index, which should meet AAMI water supply standard, thus entailing a proper plan for the whole system. In this paper, process design for reverse osmosis treatment, pretreatment and post-treatment system is presented.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(04):-
The article put across Meta-analysis well by giving its definition and analyzing its development. It empha-sized its effect in the clinical medicine and dwelled on dealing with the problems encountered when meta-analysis wasapplied and the solutions to the problems. It also pointed out its significant role in raising the level of clinical medicine, teaching and scientific research.[
5.Effect of Occupational Therapy on the Function of Upper Limbs and Complications in Stroke Patients
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(10):897-898
ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of occupational therapy (OT) on the function of upper limbs and complications in stroke patients with hemiplegia.Methods99 stroke patients were randomly divided into the OT group (52 cases treated with OT and routine rehabilitation) and control group (47 cases treated without OT). Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) and evaluation of hand function were performed before and two months after treatment. The complications of patients in two groups were also compared.ResultsAfter treatment, the functions of upper limbs and hand of patients in the OT group were superior to those in the control group ( P<0.05). The numbers of cases with complications in the OT group were significantly less than that in the control group ( P <0.01).ConclusionOT can improve the functions of upper limbs and hand and abate complications in stroke patients.

The progression of liver fibrosis directly affects treatment options and prognosis.Early diagnosis and classification of liver fibrosis and dynamic monitoring are clinically needed.Noninvasive diagnostic techniques can avoid or reduce liver biopsy to enable early identifica-tion of liver fibrosis and to dynamically monitor the progression of fibrosis. But various limitations have restricted its application.Noninvasive diagnostic techniques, such as liver transient elastography using the different probe mode, controlled attenuation parameter, spleen stiffness measurement,ultrasound-based transient elastography for the early prediction of hepatic fibrosis, and risk assessment of hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma, have been applied in clinical studies. In order to better understand and apply these diagnostic models, the progress in clinical studies of noninvasive diagnosis of liver fibrosis,as well as the limitations,is reviewed.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(12):-
Visfatin is a highly conserved protein expressed by visceral fat tissues that previously identified as pre B cell colony-enchancing factor (PBEF). Visfatin is a 52 ku cytokine and has been shown to exert multiple distinct biological activities. By interacting with insulin receptors, visfatin exhibits insulin mimicking or antagonizing effects under different circumstances. In addition, it possesses an nicotinamide phosphoribosyl transferase (Nampt) activity inside the cells, which functions at the rate-limiting step along the pathway of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) biosyntheses. And finally, as an extracellular cytokine, visfatin is able to induce the expression of inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF?, IL-1? and IL-6. Visfatin has drawn increasing attentions to researchers for its close association with a variety of human metabolic and acute/chronic inflammatory diseases or disorders, including diabetes, obesity, acute lung injury, rheumatoid arthritis, sepsis, myocardial infarction and inflammatory bowel disease. Recently, the SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) analyses of visfatin and its promoter regions have provided more in-depth understandings of its roles in disease pathogenesis. A discussion in the current knowledge of the structure and diversified functions of visfatin, as well as its connections with a variety of common diseases was given.
