1.THE CONNECTIONS OF THE VENTRAL EXTREMITIES OF THE SEVENTH TO TENTH RIBS IN THE CHINESE
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1959;0(Z1):-
The connections of the ventral extremities of the seventh to the tenth ribs in the Chinese were studied on 100 adult (68 male, 32 female) and 100 children (38 male, 62 female) cadavers. The results were as follows: 1. Of the 200 cases observed, the tenth ribs were free at their ventral ends bilaterally in 159 cases (79.5%), and unilaterally (6 right, 11 left) in 17 cases (8.5%). In the remaining 24 cases (12%), the tenth rib was connected to the cartilage of the ninth rib as usually described. In the 159 specimens, the ninth ribs were also free symmetrically in 12 cases (6%) and asymmetrically (7 right and 1 left) in 8 cases (4%). In the latter cases there were 4 pairs of floating ribs on one side and 3 pairs on the other. 2. In 22 (11%) of the 200 cases the eighth ribs were connected at their ventral extremities (7 bilaterally, 15 unilaterally), through the mediation of the costal cartilage, with the sternum to form a true rib. 3. Out of the 200 cadavers, there were 3 cases (1.5%) in which both of the ventral ends of the seventh ribs were not connected with the sternum, but with the cartilage of the sixth rib to form a false rib.

4.Preparation and Quality Control of Compound Ofloxacin Gargle
China Pharmacy 2001;0(10):-
OBJECTIVE:To prepare compound ofloxacin gargle, and to establish a method for its quality control.METHODS:Compound oflorxacin gargle was prepared with tinidazole, ofloxcin, heavy peppermint water, glycerol and puri-fied water.Differential spectrophotometry was employed to determine the content of tinidazole without isolation, and then the content of ofloxcin was calculated by formula on the basis of absorbability additivity principle.RESULTS:The prepared gargle was light green yellow clear liquid. The average recovery rates of tinidazole and ofloxacin were98.92%(RSD=0.35%)and99.18%(RSD=0.54%),respectively.No distinct decrease in content of these two components was found in3month test.CONCLUSION:The established method of preparation is simple, and that of content determination is convenient as well as that preparation is stable, which can be widely used in hospitals at primary level.
5.Clinical Observation of the Effect of Cefoperazone on Postoperative Hemostasis of Incisional Wound
China Pharmacy 2005;0(23):-
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of cefoperazone on the surgical haemostastic outcome so as to offer reference for preoperative anti-infection medication.METHODS:A total of 60 patients undergoing laparotomy were randomly divided into medication group(cefoperazone)or control group. The blood coagulation functional parameter changes of the 2 groups before and after operation were observed, and the intraoperative blood loss volume, blood infusion volume, and the haemostatic time were recorded.RESULTS:The thrombin time, the prothrombin time, partial prothrombin time were all longer, and the intraoperative blood loss volume and blood infusion volume and the haemostatic time were all more in cefoperazone-treated group than in control group(P
6.Current research in the pathophysiology of dry eye
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(08):-
Expanded understanding of the ocular surface and tear film interaction contributes to the pathophysiology of dry eye.Maintenance of tear film requires an intricate nervous and hormonal regulation. The changes in tear film, neurogenic inflammation and sex hormone are key factors in dry eye pathogenesis.
7.Visual quality after epipolis laser in situ keratomileusis surgery in mild and moderate myopia
International Eye Science 2015;(7):1165-1167
AlM: To comprehensively evaluate of visual quality after epipolis laser in situ keratomileusis ( EPl-LASlK) in mild to moderate myopia.METHODS: Sixty cases ( 120 eyes ) undergone EPl-LASlK with equivalent diopter ( SE ) were divided into two groups:mild myopia group (60 eyes) and moderate myopia group ( 60 eyes ) . Objective visual acuity, aberration, contrast sensitivity and glare sensitivity were measured before and 1wk; 1, 6mo after operation, and made comparative analysis. RESULTS: Postoperative uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ) of two groups were better than that of preoperative(P<0. 05). Postoperative 6mo, there were significant differences on total high RMS between two groups ( P < 0. 05 ). Before operation and 6mo after operation, higher - order aberrations had statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0. 05). After 1wk and 1mo, there were statistical significances at the five frequencies between two groups (P<0. 05). After 6mo, the mild myopia group returned to preoperative levels, however, moderate myopia group in the high frequency region ( 18. 0c/d ) had significant difference with before surgery (P<0. 05). 1wk after surgery, there were statistically significant differences on the 3. 0, 6. 0, 12.0, 18. 0c/d frequency in both groups (all P<0. 05), 1mo after surgery, there were significant difference at 12.0, 18.0c/d frequencies (all P<0.05), after 6mo, both groups returned to preoperative levels, showed no significant difference.CONCLUSlON:Visual quality is poorer in mild myopia patients than that in moderate myopia at early stage after EPl-LASlK. Better visual quality is observed at mid-late stage.

Objective To explore the effects of CD40Ig gene transfer in vitro on cardiac allograft survival in mice. Methods The recombinant adenovirus vector carrying murine CD40 extracellular domain and human IgG Fc fusion gene (AdCD40Ig) was constructed. Using BALB/c mice as donors and C57BL/6 mice as recipients, the model of mice abdomen heterotopical heart transplantation was set up. In the experimental group, the isolated donor heart was transfected with AdCD40Ig, then transplanted to recipient. The other groups included empty vector transfected control group, untransfected control group, and syngeneic control group (the donors and the recipients were C57BL/6 mice). The survival time of donor hearts and the infiltration of inflammatory cells in heart allograft were observed. The expression of CD40Ig fusion protein in recipient was identified by Sandwich ELISA; The IFN-? producing cells in recipient was determined by FACS. Results The survival time of the cardiac allograft in experimental group was ( 15.8? 0.7) days, significantly longer than empty vector transfected control group and untransfected control group (P
