1.Contribution to the study on some biological properties of flavonoids in leaves of Carica papaya L
Pharmaceutical Journal 2001;305(9):15-17
The flavonoids from papaya leaves have the selective action on the cells. It destroyed cancer cells Hep-2, but don't make any bad influence to the normal lymphocyte. In addition, The obtained flavonoids have mitogenic activity on the lymphocyte of human. Flavonoids of papaya leaves have different effect on the inhibition of the growth and development of bacteria

2.Investigational method for extraction of natural compounds from Abutilon indicum L
Pharmaceutical Journal 2000;291(7):10-13
The pholyphenols in Abutilon indicum are soluble in methanol, ethanol, distilled water, and in acid medium. Abutilon indicum contained components of the natural substances such as: amino acids, aliphatic compounds, sugars, polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, glucosids. Content of polyphenols in Abutilon indicum were very high (16.92-28.62 mg/g), in which flavonoids of Abutilon indicum are various and distributed in trunk, roots and fruits, with characteristic components having absorption at 270-290 nm(flavonon).

3.Purification and identification of some characteristics of lectin from stament of Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) and flowers of Telosma cordata
Pharmaceutical Journal 2001;298(2):15-18
The Lectin from Nulumbo nucifera and Telosma cordata have been extracted and purified by following process: Extraction with suitable medium precipitation with Ammoniumsunphate or Ethanol - ion exchange chromatography on CM-Cellulose of DEAE-Cellulose. Preparations having high purity showed homogeneous proteins in SDS-polyacrylamide gel-electrophoresis. pH-Optimum of the lectins from Nelumbo nucifera is pH 8.3, but form Telosma cordata is pH 5.5. The potency order of agglutination with monosaccharides was as Fructose, NAc-Glucosamine, Arabinose and NAc-acid Neuraminic for Nelumbo nucifera, but the lectin from Telosma cordata was inhibited only by Fructose, Saccharose NAc acid neuraminic. The lectins from Nelumbo nucifera and Telosma cordata were inhibited by many proteins from original Animals

4.Results of study on the bioactivities of species of Kim That gynura procubens asteraceae
Pharmaceutical Journal 1998;272(12):18-20
The extract of dried herb of Gynura procumberns, ratio 2:1 had an effect inhibiting symptoms of acute inflammation and is analgesic in experimentation. On the model inhibiting acute inflammatory ocdema, Gynura procum-bens extract inhibited 34.20% the inflammatory edema of mouse’s legs. On the model creating an acute pain by acetic acid 0.6% on white house mice, Gynura procumbens reduced the acute pain. On the model created a pain by temperature Gynura procumbens extract was also analgesic for about 29.05%.

5.Preliminary investigation on some biological effects of leaves of excoecaria cochinchinensis Lour Euphorbiaceae
Pharmaceutical Journal 2001;298(2):20-21
The leaf of the "Don la do" excoecaria cochinchinensis Lour Euphorbiaceae is used in traditional medicine for treating of allergy, pustule, eruption... The biological experiments have revealed: the "Don la do" extract, the crude flavonoid extract, the crude saponin extract, the leaf juice, the pure flavonoid F1 have actions on positive gram strains, and on fungi. The "Don la do" extract has not acute toxicity

6.Primarily result of study on the chemical components of the medicinal herb Excoecaria cochinchinensis Lour
Pharmaceutical Journal 2001;298(2):9-10
'Don la do' used in Vietnam was identified as being Excoecaria cochinchinensis Lour. Euphorbiaceae. The Don la do extract is a traditional medicine for treatment of pustule, eruption, allergy. The chemical analysis confirmed the Don la do extract contains flavonoid, saponin, coumarin, tanin, anthraglycosid, but without containing alcaloids, fatty acid, organic acids, heart glycosid. Total flavonoid content is 1.5%. Have extracted and isolated a substance F1, by preparative thin layer chromatography

7.Study on the situation of using the traditional medication in publicity
Pharmaceutical Journal 2001;305(9):3-5
A survey on 120 consumers who have been treated by traditional medicine in Hanoi. Results of the study showed that the average age of them is 48.8, the main of the consumers have gastrointestinal tract diseases, rheumatics, cough and flu with 16.7%, 24.2%, 23.3% respectively. The average cost of a treatment course by traditional medicine is about 7.5 USD, it is not reasonable price for people with low earning. The belief of the consumers in traditional remedies are more and more increasing. Most of them think that the traditional medicine have no poisoning and adverse drug reactions

8.Strengthen the works of management of the pro-drug and chemical for illegal production of stupefacients
Pharmaceutical Journal 1998;262(2):4-5
It is difficult to find the production facilities of the stupefacients because most of them are located in the remote areas. All pro-drug and chemicals for production are under the national and international control. Therefore, the illegal production of stupefacients can not be carried out without pro-drug and chemical. The name of crime for sales of pro-drugs regulated in the Article No 185 of the Criminal Law of Social republic of Vietnam.

9.Rational and safe use of traditional medicine
Pharmaceutical Journal 2000;291(7):5-7
Most of countries developed and used the traditional medicine for primary health care. The promotion of integration of traditional medicine into the health systems is a mechanism to strengthen the rational and safe use and control of traditional medicine. The major point of program was to improve the country's potential in the legal aspect, quality assurance of the traditional medicine, development and research on the evidence of efficacy and safety of traditional medicine. In addition to, it should strengthen the practicable abilities of practitioner of traditional medicine

10.Quick and simultaneous dosage of benzoic acid and salicylic acid in the ointment "Benzosali" by high performance Liquid Chrommataraphy (HPLC)
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;282(10):19-21
An HPLC method was proposed to determine rapidly and simultaneously benzoic acid and salicylic acid in the benzosali ointment. The chromatographic conditions were: column lichrosorb RP 18 (25x4x10), mobile phase: methanol - 0.017 M, postassiumdihydrophosphat solution - 12.5%, tetrabutylamonium hydroxide solution (400: 800: 1.5 V/V/V) at flow rate 1-1.5ml min-1 and the detection at 230nm. Experimental results proved that the proposed HPLC method was simple, stable, accurate and precise.
