1.Study on the change of T3, T4, TSH concentrations in the blood of pregnant women
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;281(2):17-20
RIA and IRMA irradiation quantification technique was applicated for determining the concentration of triiodothyrosin (T3), thyroxin (T4), thyroid stimulating hormon (TSH) in blood of normal woman and pregnant woman. Results showed the significantly higher level of TSH and FT4 has not considerable difference in comparing with normal woman (no pregnancy). For verifying the thyroid disease in pregnant woman, TSH and FT4 should be quantified

5.Study on antibiotic susceptibility of Neisseria gonorrhoeae
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;281(2):38-45
From Nov. 1999 to April 2000, at Ha Noi Centre of Vereno-Dermatology, 365 samples isolated from patients of all ranges of age were studied, using the procedures of antibiogramme to determine the sensitivity of antibiotics to blennorrhagic agent. Results: 65 positive cases (17.8%), among them patients aged 16-40 account for highest positive rate (27.3%). Gonococcus has relatively high resistance to Penicillin (75.4%), then tetracyclin (21.5%), ciprofloxacin (6.2%). The resistance to Kanamycin (18.5%), Nalidizic acide (10.8%), Chloramphenicol (7.7%), Erythromycine (1.5%) were recorded. Multiresistance to 2 antibiotics had the highest rate: PG-TE (16.9%), PG-KA (15.4%), to 3 antibiotics PG-KA-NA (4.6%) was noted. There is no resistance to Ceftriaxon, Spectinomycin, Cephalexin

6.The changes of serum SCC concentrations of the patients with cervical cancer in pre - and post radiation therapy
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;281(2):46-51
MEIA method was applied to determine the change of serum cancer antigene level of scale cell cancer (SCC) in 32 healthy control subjects, 32 patients with cervical fibrous tumor, 78 patients of cervical cancer prior and post-radiation in Ha Noi K Hospital. Results: resum level of SCC enhanced by > 2-10 mcg/L in 63.8% cervical cancer patients, > 10 mcg/L did not determined in patient of cervical fibrous tumor; in cervical cancer, SCC serum level higher obviously than cervical fibrous tumor patients (10.6523.31 mcg/L versus 0.710.64 mcg/L with p<0.001). After irradiation, serum SCC level decreased obviously (10.6523.31 mcg/L versus 1.742.35 mcg/L with p<0.001). Serum SCC can be used for differenciating cervical cancer and cervical fibrous tumor and monitoring the response to the irradiation on patients with cervix scale cell cancer

At the Department of Communicabe Disease of Ha Noi – Dong Da Hospital 546 patients (52 dengue fever (DF) patients and 44 dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) patients were studied. IgM antibody was quantified by ELISA, blood count by 680 plus device. Results: a leucopenia (<4000) 24.2% in DF and 15.9% in DHF. Thrombocytopenia 51.2% in DF. In DF, 81.8% exerted an antibody response; in DHF there were a high rate of stimulating lympho cells (84.1%), there is 100% correlation between stimulating lympho cell and IgM antibody response
