ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Sanren Runchang formula in treating constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome （IBS-C） by regulating the brain-gut axis and the effects of the formula on serum levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine （5-HT）， vasoactive intestinal peptide （VIP）， and substance P （SP）. MethodsA randomized controlled design was adopted， and 72 IBS-C patients meeting Rome Ⅳ criteria were randomized into observation and control groups （36 cases）.The observation group received Sanren Runchang formula granules twice daily， and the control group received lactulose oral solution daily for 4 weeks. IBS Symptom Severity Scale （IBS-SSS）， IBS Quality of Life Scale （IBS-QOL）， and Bristol Stool Form Scale （BSFS） were used to assess clinical symptoms， and bowel movement frequency was recorded. The Self-Rating Anxiety Scale （SAS） and Self-Rating Depression Scale （SDS） were employed to evaluate psychological status. ELISA was employed to measure the serum levels of 5-HT， VIP， and SP. ResultsThe total response rate in the observation group was 91.67% （33/36）， which was higher than that （77.78%， 28/36） in the control group （χ²=4.50， P<0.05）. After treatment， both groups showed increased defecation frequency and BSFS scores， decreased IBS-SSS total score， abdominal pain and bloating scores， IBS-QOL health anxiety， anxiety， food avoidance， and behavioral disorders scores， SAS and SDS scores， serum 5-HT and VIP levels， and increased SP levels （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Moreover， the observation group showed more significant changes in the indicators above than the control group （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The SP level showed no significant difference between the two groups. During the 4-week follow-up， the recurrence rate was 5.88% in the observation group and 31.25% in the control group. No adverse events occurred in observation group， and 2 cases of mild diarrhea occurred in the control group. ConclusionSanren Runchang formula demonstrated definitive efficacy in alleviating gastrointestinal symptoms and improving the psychological status and quality of life in IBS-C patients， with a low recurrence rate. The formula can regulate serum levels of neurotransmitters such as 5-HT and VIP， suggesting its potential regulatory effect on the brain-gut axis through modulating neurotransmitters and neuropeptides. However， its complete mechanism of action requires further investigation through detection of additional brain-gut axis-related biomarkers.

Objective To systematically analyze the literature characteristics of Journal of Organ Transplantation since its inception. Methods Using the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) academic journal full-text database as the data source, all articles published in the Journal of Organ Transplantation from January 2010 to August 2025 were retrieved. After excluding non-academic papers, a total of 1 568 research papers were included. R language 4.3.0, Bibliometrix package 3.2.1, and Citespace software were used to analyze the number of publications, publishing institutions, authors, keywords and other aspects. Results The number of publications in Journal of Organ Transplantation increased from an average of 82 articles per year in the early years after its inception to 113 articles per year in recent years, a growth of 37.8%. The geographical distribution of publishing institutions covers 32 provinces, cities and autonomous regions nationwide, mainly concentrated in the South China, East China and North China regions, and has now basically covered the central and western regions in recent years. The author collaboration network includes 45 authors distributed across 7 major collaboration clusters, forming a stable multi-level national research system centered on key university-affiliated hospitals. The high-frequency keywords are dominated by "liver transplantation" (425 times) and "kidney transplantation" (396 times). The theme evolution shows a clear three-stage characteristic: initially focusing on clinical technology application, deepening to immune mechanism exploration in the middle stage, and recently (since 2022) focusing on cutting-edge research areas such as xenotransplantation. Conclusions Journal of Organ Transplantation has witnessed the rapid development of China's organ transplantation cause, fully reflecting the research status and trends in China's organ transplantation field, and has provided an important platform for the future development and international cooperation in China's organ transplantation field.

ObjectiveTo investigate the differences in the regulatory effects of formulas containing Ephedrae Herba and Armeniacae Semen Amarum （Mahuangtang， Sanaotang， and Maxing Shigantang） on thermosensitive transient receptor potential ion channels （thermo TRPs） in the mouse model of asthmatic airway inflammation. MethodsSixty female C57BL/6 mice were allocated into blank， model， dexamethasone （0.75 mg·kg^-1）， Mahuangtang （3.8 g·kg^-1）， Sanaotang （2.8 g·kg^-1）， and Maxing Shigantang （6.6 g·kg^-1） groups （n=10）. The mouse model of asthma was established with ovalbumin （OVA） and treated with normal saline （blank group） or corresponding drugs （10 mL·kg^-1）， once a day， 19-28 days after modeling. The levels of eosinophils （EOS） in peripheral blood and white blood cell （WBC） in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid （BALF）， changes in enhanced pause （Penh）， and pathological damage of lung tissue were observed in each group. Western blot and real-time PCR were employed to quantify the protein and mRNA levels， respectively， of high-temperature thermosensitive channels （TRPV1 and TRPV3） and low-temperature thermosensitive channels （TRPA1 and TRPM8） in the lung tissue. ResultsCompared with the blank group， the model group showed a typical asthma phenotype， including elevations in the level of EOS in peripheral blood， level of WBC in BALF， and value of Penh （P<0.05，P<0.01）， and severe lung tissue damage. Compared with the model group， the three formulas alleviated the asthma phenotype to varying degrees （P<0.05，P<0.01）. Compared with the blank group， the model group showed up-regulated protein levels of TRPV1 and TRPA1 in the lung tissue （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， Maxing Shigantang and Sanaotang groups showed down-regulated protein levels of TRPV1 and TRPA1 （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Moreover， Maxing Shigantang and Sanaotang groups showed more significant down-regulation in protein levels of TRPV1 and TRPA1， respectively （P<0.01）， while no obvious regulatory effect was observed in the Mahuangtang group. Compared with those in the blank group， the protein levels of TRPV3 and TRPM8 were up-regulated in the model group （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， Maxing Shigantang and Sanaotang down-regulated the protein levels of TRPV3 and TRPM8 （P<0.01）. Moreover， Maxing Shigantang and Sanaotang exerted stronger down-regulating effects on TRPV3 （P<0.05） and TRPM8 （P<0.01）， respectively. Compared with the blank group， the model group presented up-regulated mRNA levels of TRPV1， TRPV3， TRPA1， and TRPM8 in the lung tissue （P<0.01）， and such up-regulations were significantly decreased by Maxing Shigantang and Sanaotang （P<0.01）. Moreover， Maxing Shigantang outperformed Sanaotang in regulating high-temperature thermosensitive channels TRPV1 and TRPV3 （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The regulation effect of the， Maxing Shigantang on high-temperature thermosensory channel proteins of TRPV1 and TRPV3 was better than that of the Sanaotang P<0.05P<0.01while the Sanaotang outperformedhad a significant regulatory effect on Maxing Shigantang in regulating the low-temperature thermosensory thermosensitive channel proteins of TRPA1 and TRPM8which was better than that of the Maxing Shigantang （P<0.05，P<0.01）. ConclusionThe experimental results showed that Mahuangtang， Sanaotang， and Maxing Shigantang all had protective effects on asthma airway inflammation.while Mahuangtang did not show the regulatory effect on TRPV1 and or TRPA1. Maxing Shigantang preferred to regulate high-temperature thermosensory thermosensitive channels of TRPV1 and TRPV3 channels， and Sanaotang preferred to regulate low-temperature thermosensory thermosensitive channels of TRPA1 and TRPM8.

OBJECTIVE To explore the potential mechanism by which drug-containing serum of Dianxianqing granules （DXQ） inhibits microglial ferroptosis. METHODS Male SD rats were given normal saline and Dianxianqing granules solution via intragastric administration to prepare normal serum and DXQ， respectively. Mice microglia BV2 cells were collected and successfully transfected with a negative control small interfering RNA （si-NC）， and then they were included in the si-NC group and cultured under normal conditions. Cells successfully transfected with small interfering RNA targeting glutathione peroxidase 4 （GPX4） （si-GPX4） were divided into the si-GPX4 group， the CsA group （treated with 1 μmol/L cyclosporine A）， and the DXQ- L， DXQ-M and DXQ-H groups （treated with 5%， 7% and 10% DXQ， respectively）. These groups were subsequently treated with their corresponding drug solutions and ferroptosis inducer Erastin （10 μmol/L）. The intracellular levels of total iron ions， glutathione （GSH）， reactive oxygen species （ROS）， and the expression of mitochondrial superoxide were determined in each group after 48 h of treatment. Additionally， mitochondrial membrane potential， the opening degree of mitochondrial permeability transition pore （MPTP）， and mRNA expressions of GPX4 and cyclophilin D （CypD） were detected. Furthermore， the expressions of ferroptosis-related proteins[GPX4， transferrin receptor 1 （TfR1） and ferritin heavy chain 1 （FTH1）]， as well as MPTP-related proteins [adenine nucleotide translocator （ANT）， cytochrome C （CytC）， mitochondrial calcium uniporter （MCU） and CypD] were assessed. RESULTS Compared with si-NC group， the levels of total iron ions and ROS， the expression level of mitochondrial superoxide， the opening degree of MPTP， protein and its mRNA expressions of CypD as well as protein expressions of TfR1 and MCU were increased or up-regulated significantly （P＜0.01）； however， GSH content， mitochondrial membrane potential， protein and mRNA expressions of GPX4， and protein expressions of FTH1， ANT and CytC were decreased or down-regulated significantly （P＜0.01）. Compared with the si-GPX4 group， the cells in the DXQ-M， DXQ-H groups showed a general improvement in the above quantitative indicators （P＜0.01 or P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS DXQ can enhance antioxidant capacity by activating the GSH/GPX4 pathway， regulate the expressions of TfR1 and FTH1 protein to correct iron ion homeostasis， inhibit excessive opening of MPTP to improve mitochondrial function， and ultimately suppress microglial ferroptosis.

Objective: To investigate the impact of RhE antigen-matched transfusion during liver transplantation on early postoperative recovery and complications. Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, ninety-five patients undergoing liver transplantation at Kunming First People's Hospital between January 2022 and July 2025 were enrolled. Patients were divided into two groups: Group 1 (RhE-mismatched transfusion, n=57) and Group 2 (RhE-matched transfusion, n=38). The baseline data, complete blood counts, hepatic and renal function, coagulation parameters, and complication rates between the two groups were compared at postoperative days 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method. Results: The baseline characteristics were well-balanced and comparable between the two groups (all P>0.05). The early postoperative mortality rate in the mismatched group (31.58%, 18/57) was significantly higher than that in the matched group (10.53%, 4/38) (P=0.017). The incidence of postoperative hepatic encephalopathy was significantly higher in the mismatched group (50.88%, 29/57) than in the matched group (10.53%, 4/38) (P<0.001). The incidence of postoperative haemorrhage in the mismatched group (24.56%, 14/57) was higher than that in the matched group (5.26%, 2/38), with a statistically significant difference (P=0.014). The incidence of perioperative infection in the mismatched group (28.07%, 16/57) was higher than that in the matched group (10.53%, 4/38), with a statistically significant difference (P=0.04). Corresponding odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals indicated a lower risk of these adverse events in the matched group. On postoperative day 1, the change in activated partial thromboplastin time (-1.6, 20.5) in the mismatched group was greater than in the matched group (-0.2, 5.5). The change in international normalised ratio (-0.56, 1.22) in the mismatched group was greater than in the matched group (-0.18, 0.32), while the change in albumin (-4.0, 4.8) was smaller in the mismatched group than in the matched group (-2.5, 8.8). On postoperative day 5, the change in albumin (-0.41±7.83) in the mismatched group was smaller than in the matched group (2.68±4.53). At postoperative day 7, the change in albumin in the mismatched group (-0.61±7.38) was smaller than that in the matched group (2.51±5.85), while the change in D-dimer in the mismatched group (0.73, 7.4) was greater than that in the matched group (-1.6, 4.3). On postoperative day 10, the mismatched group exhibited significantly higher fibrinogen levels (-1.21, 1.78) than the matched group (-0.49, 0.97), and significantly longer prothrombin times (-11.3, -2.7) than the matched group (-6.2, -0.8) (all P<0.05). The matched group exhibited a mean overall survival (OS) of 32.803 months (95% CI:29.171-36.436 months), significantly exceeding the mismatched group's 28.996 months (95% CI:24.202-33.790 months). The log-rank test yielded statistically significant results (χ =4.307, P=0.038). Conclusion: Implementing RhE blood group-matched transfusion during liver transplantation may help reduce early postoperative mortality and the incidence of major complication rates, promote faster recovery of coagulation and liver function, and thereby improve short-term patient outcomes.

ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between acne vulgaris and gut microbiota. MethodsA total of 29 clinical cases diagnosed with moderate-to-severe acne vulgaris and 26 healthy individuals as control subjects were recruited. Fecal specimens were collected from all participants， and further analysis of gut microbial communities was performed by leveraging high-throughput sequencing techniques that target the hypervariable regions of 16S rRNA genes. ResultsAssociations between acne vulgaris and alterations in gut microbiota were identified. At the phylum level， the relative abundance of Bacteroidota exhibited a statistically significant elevation in the acne vulgaris cohort when compared with the healthy control group （P<0.01）， while Cyanobacteria was significantly lower in the acne group （P<0.01）. At the genus level， the top five different bacterial taxa in both groups were Bacteroides， Escherichia⁃Shigella， Klebsiella， Roseburia， and Parabacteroides. Among them， Bacteroides， Roseburia， and Parabacteroides were more abundant in acne patients. Linear discriminant analysis identified five biomarkers all belonging to the Bacteroidota phylum in the acne and control groups. These biomarkers belong to the phylum Bacteroidetes. ConclusionThere are significant differences in the composition of intestinal microbiota between acne patients and healthy people. Changes in the richness of specific bacterial genera may become new targets for the diagnosis and treatment of acne.

MethodsThe CHF rat model was prepared by aortic arch constriction （TAC）. Of the 72 SD rats， 8 were randomly selected as the sham operation group， where the chest was opened without ligating the aortic arch. The 40 successfully modeled rats were randomly divided into the model group， the Shengxiantang low-， medium-， and high-dose groups （5.1， 10.2， 20.4 g·kg^-1）， and the trimetazidine group （6.3 mg·kg^-1）， with 8 rats in each group. Drug administration began 4 weeks after modeling. The administration groups received the corresponding drugs by gavage， while the sham operation and model groups were given the same amount of distilled water for 8 consecutive weeks. Echocardiography was used to assess cardiac function. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） was used to detect the levels of nitric oxide （NO）， endothelin （ET-1）， vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF）， and von Willebrand factor （vWF）. Ultrastructural changes of microvessels were observed by transmission electron microscopy. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression levels of ATP synthase subunit （ATP5D） and F-actin in myocardial tissue. Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of occludin， claudin， vascular endothelial cadherin （VE-Cadherin）， and zonula occludens-1 （ZO-1）. Microvessel density was measured by immunofluorescence staining. ResultsCompared with the sham operation group， the ejection fraction （EF） and left ventricular shortening fraction （FS） in the model group were significantly decreased （P<0.01）， while the left ventricular diastolic diameter （LVIDd）， left ventricular systolic diameter （LVIDs）， left ventricular end-diastolic posterior wall thickness （LVPWd）， left ventricular end-systolic posterior wall thickness （LVPWs）， left ventricular end-diastolic volume （LVVOLd）， and left ventricular end-systolic volume （LVVOLs） were significantly increased （P<0.01）. The levels of NO and VEGF were significantly decreased （P<0.01）， while the levels of ET-1 and vWF were significantly increased （P<0.01）. Under electron microscopy， the microvascular basement membrane was incomplete and the tight junctions were blurred. The expression levels of ATP5D， F-actin， occludin， claudin， ZO-1， and VE-Cadherin were significantly decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the relative density of microvessels was significantly reduced （P<0.05， P<0.01）. After intervention with Shengxiantang， the EF and FS of CHF rats significantly increased （P<0.01）， while the LVIDd， LVIDs， LVPWd， LVPWs， LVVOLd， and LVVOLs significantly decreased （P<0.01）. The levels of NO and VEGF significantly increased （P<0.01）， while the levels of ET-1 and vWF significantly decreased （P<0.01）. Under electron microscopy， the microvascular basement membrane was relatively complete and the tight junctions were more continuous. The expression levels of ATP5D， F-actin， occludin， claudin， ZO-1， and VE-Cadherin significantly increased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the relative density of microvessels significantly increased （P<0.01）. ConclusionShengxiantang can effectively improve the cardiac function of CHF rats， reduce microvascular endothelial injury， strengthen the connection between endothelial cells， and increase microvessel density， thereby protecting myocardial microvascular injury.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Yiqi Wenyang Huoxue Lishui components on the cardiac function and mitochondrial energy metabolism in the rat model of chronic heart failure （CHF） and explore the underlying mechanism. MethodsThe rat model of CHF was prepared by transverse aortic constriction （TAC）. Eight of the 50 SD rats were randomly selected as the sham group， and the remaining 42 underwent TAC surgery. The 24 SD rats successfully modeled were randomized into model， trimetazidine （6.3 mg·kg^-1）， and Yiqi Wenyang Huoxue Lishui components （60 mg·kg^-1 total saponins of Astragali Radix， 10 mg·kg^-1 total phenolic acids of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma， 190 mg·kg^-1 aqueous extract of Lepidii Semen， and 100 mg·kg^-1 cinnamaldehyde） groups. The rats were administrated with corresponding agents by gavage， and those in the sham and model groups were administrated with the same amount of normal saline at a dose of 10 mL·kg^-1 for 8 weeks. Echocardiography was used to examine the cardiac function in rats. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was employed to determine the serum levels of N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide （NT-ProBNP）， hypersensitive troponin（cTnI）， creatine kinase （CK）， lactate dehydrogenase （LD）， free fatty acids （FFA）， superoxide dismutase （SOD）， and malondialdehyde （MDA）. The colorimetric assay was employed to measure the levels of adenosine triphosphate （ATP）， adenosine diphosphate （ADP）， and adenosine monophosphate （AMP） in the myocardial tissue. The pathological changes in the myocardial tissue were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and Masson staining. The Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase and Ca²⁺-Mg²⁺-ATPase activities in the myocardial tissue were determined by the colorimetric assay. The ultrastructural changes of myocardial mitochondria were observed by transmission electron microscopy. Western blot was employed to determine the protein levels of ATP synthase subunit delta （ATP5D）， glucose transporter 4 （GLUT4）， and carnitine palmitoyltransferase-1 （CPT-1）. The mitochondrial complex assay kits were used to determine the activities of mitochondrial complexes Ⅰ， Ⅱ， Ⅲ， and Ⅳ. ResultsCompared with the sham group， the model group showed a loosening arrangement of cardiac fibers， fracture and necrosis of partial cardiac fibers， inflammatory cells in necrotic areas， massive blue fibrotic tissue in the myocardial interstitium， increased collagen fiber area and myocardial fibrosis， destroyed mitochondria， myofibril disarrangement， sparse myofilaments， and fractured and reduced cristae. In addition， the rats in the model group showed declined ejection fraction （EF） and fractional shortening （FS）， risen left ventricular end-diastolic diameter （LVIDd）， left ventricular end-systolic diameter （LVIDs）， left ventricular end-diastolic posterior wall thickness （LVPWd）， left ventricular end-systolic posterior wall thickness （LVPWs）， left ventricular end-diastolic volume （LVVOLd）， and left ventricular end-systolic volume （LVVOLs）， elevated levels of NT-ProBNP， cTnI， CK， MDA， FFA， and LD， lowered level of SOD， down-regulated protein levels of GLUT4 and CPT-1， decreased activities of Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase， Ca²⁺-Mg²⁺-ATPase， and respiratory complexes Ⅰ-Ⅳ， and declined levels of ATP5D， ATP， ADP， and AMP （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， the Yiqi Wenyang Huoxue Lishui components and trimetazidine groups showed alleviated pathological damage of the mitochondria and mycardial tissue， risen EF and FS， declined LVIDd， LVIDs， LVPWd， LVPWs， LVVOLd， and LVVOLs， lowered levels of NT-ProBNP， cTnI， CK， MDA， FFA， and LD， elevated level of SOD， up-regulated protein levels of GLUT4 and CPT-1， increased activities of Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase， Ca²⁺-Mg²⁺-ATPase， and respiratory complexes Ⅰ-Ⅳ， and elevated levels of ATP5D， ATP， ADP， and AMP （P<0.05， P<0.01）. ConclusionYiqi Wenyang Huoxue Lishui components can improve the cardiac function， reduce myocardial injury， regulate glucose and lipid metabolism， optimize the utilization of substrates， and alleviate the damage of mitochondrial structure and function， thus improving the energy metabolism of the myocardium in the rat model of CHF.

ObjectiveTo explore the mechanism by which Xiaoyaosan regulates HPT axis dysfunction in the rat model with the syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency by observing its effect on the glycoprotein hormone α-subunit （CGA）/glutathione peroxidase 2 （GPX2）/thyroid-stimulating hormone β-subunit （TSHβ） pathway for thyroid hormone synthesis. MethodsSeventy-two male SD rats were randomized into six groups： normal， model， high-dose （16.7 g·kg^-1）， medium-dose （8.35 g·kg^-1）， and low-dose （4.175 g·kg^-1） Xiaoyaosan， and fluoxetine （0.001 8 g·kg^-1） groups， with 12 rats in each group. The rat model of liver depression and spleen deficiency was induced by chronic restraint stress for 21 days. The intervention groups were treated with Xiaoyaosan decoctions or fluoxetine suspension， respectively. After modeling， hematoxylin-eosin staining was employed to observe morphological changes in the thyroid and pituitary tissue of the rats. Serum levels of triiodothyronine （T3）， tetraiodothyronine （T4）， and thyroid-stimulating hormone （TSH） were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction （Real-time PCR） and Western blot were employed to determine the mRNA and protein levels， respectively， of TSH receptor （TSHR） in the thyroid tissue， thyrotropin-releasing hormone receptor （TRHR） and TSHβ in the pituitary tissue， and thyrotropin-releasing hormone （TRH）， CGA， GPX2， and TSHβ in the hypothalamic tissue. ResultsCompared with the normal group， the model group showed significant atrophy and irregularity of thyroid follicles， a marked reduction in colloid secretion， extensive vacuolar degeneration of adenocytes in the anterior pituitary， lowered serum levels of T3， T4， and TSH （P<0.01）， and down-regulated mRNA and protein levels of TSHR in the thyroid tissue， TRHR and TSHβ in the pituitary tissue， and TRH， CGA， GPX2， and TSHβ in the hypothalamic tissue （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， high- and medium-dose Xiaoyaosan and fluoxetine alleviated the pathological changes in the thyroid and pituitary tissue， outperforming the low-dose Xiaoyaosan group. Moreover， they elevated the serum levels of T3， T4， and TSH （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The serum TSH level was also elevated in the low-dose Xiaoyaosan group （P<0.05）. The mRNA and protein levels of TSHR in the thyroid， TRHR and TSHβ in the pituitary， and TRH， CGA， GPX2， and TSHβ in the hypothalamus were up-regulated in the high- and medium-dose Xiaoyaosan groups （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Additionally， the mRNA and protein levels of TSHβ in the hypothalamus were up-regulated in the low-dose Xiaoyaosan group （P<0.01）. In the fluoxetine group， the mRNA and protein levels of TSHR in the thyroid， TRHR in the pituitary， and TRH， CGA， and GPX2 in the hypothalamus were up-regulated （P<0.05， P<0.01）. ConclusionThe downregulation of CGA/GPX2/TSHβ pathway may be one of the biological mechanisms underlying HPT axis dysfunction in the rat model with the syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency. Xiaoyaosan may regulate the HPT axis dysfunction by up-regulating the CGA/GPX2/TSHβ pathway.
