Objective To describe the academic impact of publications from National Institute of Parasitic Diseases （NIPD），Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention，so as to give the quantity evidence for scientific research decision making. Methods The SCIE papers of NIPD published from 2011-2015 were searched and statistically analyzed. The number of published papers，citation frequencies，h⁃index，and funding resources were analyzed. The academic impact of the institute was assessed according to these data. Result A total of 361 papers were published by NIPD，and the quantity increased year by year. The majority type is original articles. The total citations were 1 641 times，the average citation per paper was 5.19 and h⁃index was 17. The majority of these papers were published in foreign professional periodicals，whose impact factors were between 1.194 and 6.751. The major resources of NIPD were from China，and NIPD also had good collaborations with institutions in US and Switzerland. In China and Asia，NIPD led the research in the field of parasitology and tropical medicine. Conclusion The quantity and quality of annual published papers of NIPD are on the rise. However，NIPD lagged behind the leading institutions in the world.

The paper briefly introduces the definition, characteristics of MOOC and its development both in China and abroad, ana-lyzes the relation between medical college and university library and MOOC.It points out that libraries should provide embedded course services based on MOOC, establish MOOC Information Commons ( IC) , develop MOOC specialized database and enhance capability of the librarians in order to develop MOOC from various aspects and continuously promote information service innovation.

Objective:For improving the imperfection of the Active contour model.Methods:This paper puts forward a new active contour model based on the greedy algorithm.The average contour length term is added into the internal energy of the model.The gradient directional energy is introduced to the external energy of the model.A fast algorithm is introduced to solve the minimum of region energy.The algorithm of add or delete snaxel also adopted in this paper.Segmentation of the MRI brain tumor are studied in the experiments.Results:Comparing to the manual segmentation and the GVF segmentation,the method is better.Conclusion:The results of experiments indicate that the model is none sensitive to initial contour.So this algorithm is practical.

Objective:To analyze the effect of first aid knowledge and skills training for women in poverty-stricken areas, and summarize the importance of first aid knowledge and skills for women in poverty-stricken families.Methods:By cluster sampling, 318 women from poverty-stricken families who participated in the vocational training class in Zhen’an County, Shaanxi Province were trained in first aid knowledge and skills. The mastery of first aid knowledge before and after the training was evaluated by questionnaire survey, and the mastery of first aid skills before and after the training was evaluated by on-site assessment.Results:After the theoretical training of women from poor families, the awareness rate ranked in the top five were fire, poisoning, burns, heatstroke and earthquake first aid measures, with a knowledge rate of 98.1%(312/318),96.5%(307/318), 95.3%(303/318), 93.4%(297/318), 91.8%(292/318), which were statistically different from the pre-training rate, 88.0%(280/318), 84.0%(267/318), 78.4%(249/318), 43.4%(138/318), 72.6%(231/318), ( χ2 value was 15.03-183.89, all P<0.01). The pass rate of post-training cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemostatic, dressing, and carrying skills of poor family women were 69.8% (222/318) , 52.8% (168/318) , 50.0% (159/318) , 76.1% (242/318) , respectively, which were statistically different from pre-training, 1.3%(4/318), 2.2%(7/318), 1.9%(6/318), 6.9%(22/318), ( χ2 value was 191.57-326.19, all P<0.01). Conclusion:The effect of training on first aid knowledge and skills of women in poverty-stricken families is significant, and a long-term training mechanism can be established.

Objective:To seek better treatments for abnormal pelvic floor muscle tension and pelvic floor dysfunction after spinal cord injury.Methods:The morphology of pelvic floor muscle fibers of rats with spinal cord injury at different levels was observed under the electron microscope. Thirty female adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a suprasacral (SS) cord injury group, a group with spinal cord injury at or below the sacral level (SC) and a normal group (NG), each of 10. The relevant spinal cord injury models were established in the SS and SC groups through spinal cord disconnection. Four weeks later, the pixel area of ATPase-positive fibers was used to quantify the content of type I fibers in the pubococcygeus muscle of each rat through observation under the electron microscope after hematoxylin and eosin staining.Results:The average content of type I muscle fibers in both the SS and SC group was significantly lower than in the normal group. The SC group′s average level was significantly lower than that of the SS group. Under the microscope the stained myofibers were tortuous, deformed in appearance and with proliferated nuclei. Capillary dilation could be seen locally in the SS group 4 weeks after the injury. In the SC group at 4 weeks after the injury the pubococcal fibers were seriously "dissolved" , or disordered, with spherical nuclei and mild hyperplasia. Under the electron microscope, the sarcomeres of the SC group were obviously dissolved, atrophied and broken, though the basic structure persisted, with mild mitochondrial proliferation. The sarcomeres of the SC group were extremely dissolved and broken, completely losing basic structure, with abundant connective tissue proliferation but without obvious mitochondrial proliferation.Conclusions:After suprasacral cord injury, the content of type I muscle fibers in the pubococcygeus muscle of the pelvic floor decreases somewhat, with the basic structure of the muscle fibers remaining intact. However, after spinal cord injury at or below the sacral level, type I muscle fibers decrease significantly in the pubococcygeus muscle of the pelvic floor, and the basic structure is seriously damaged.

AIM: To observe the effect of nonpenetrating trabeculectomy with implantation of amniotic membrane on the treatment of open-angle glaucoma.METHODS: Sixty-six cases (87 eyes) were randomly paired into 3 groups, treated with nonpenetrating trabeculectomy with implantation of amniotic membrane (22 cases, 29 eyes),compound trabeculectomy (22 cases, 29 eyes) and nonpenetrating trabeculectomy with implantation of SKGel (22 cases, 29 eyes), respectively.RESULTS: Compared with the other 2 groups, the group of nonpenetrating trabeculectomy with implantation of amniotic membrane got a better postoperative visual acuity (P＜0.01),satisfactively-controlled intraocular pressure (IOP) (P＜0.01)and fewer complications (P＜0.01).CONCLUSION: Nonpenetrating trabeculectomy with implantation of amniotic membrane is an effective method for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma.

Objective To explore the evaluation for apraxia of speech (AOS) with Chinese. Methods 20 Chinese cases with AOS were assessed with Chinese material referred from Motor Speech Evaluation (MSE) using. Results The subtest of multiple repetitions of multisyllabic words was the most difficult and single repetitions of monosyllabic words was the easiest for AOS patients (P<0.05). The score of the short sentences negatively correlated with both the scores of repetition ability (r=-0.865) and the fluency of speech (r=-0.614) (P<0.001).Conclusion Chinese material referred from MSE can be used for evaluation of AOS with Chinese.
