Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine 2026;37(1):121-125
Objective To investigate the relationship of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and homocysteine (Hcy) with risk of coronary artery lesion progression in patients with hypertension. Methods The data of 306 patients with hypertension who received coronary angiography from January 2020 to January 2025 were included for retrospective investigation. The patients were divided into a non-progression group (175 cases) and a progression group (131 cases) based on the 6-month Gensini progression rate. The relationship between NLR and Hcy and coronary artery lesion progression was analyzed. Results Binary logistic regression analysis was applied to control confounding factors. After adjusting for confounding factors using Model1, Model2, and Model3, it was found that NLR and Hcy at admission were independently associated with the progression of coronary artery lesion in hypertensive patients [adjusted OR (95% CI) = 1.77 (1.48-2.11), 4.26 (2.71-6.69), P<0.001]. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve revealed that the area under the curve of the combination of Hcy and NLR was 0.814 in predicting the progression of coronary artery lesion in hypertensive patients, which was higher than that of Hcy or NLR (Z/P=5.328, 2.077/<0.05). Conclusion Cardiovascular disease risk factors NLR and Hcy are independently associated with coronary artery lesion progression in patients with hypertension. Early detection of NLR and Hcy is helpful to predict the progression of coronary artery lesion.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2026;39(3):384-390
Objective: To compare the Reveos automated blood processing system with the current method, and to evaluate the feasibility and validity of using the Reveos system for blood component preparation. Methods: Forty units of 400 mL whole blood samples were divided into two groups: 2C group (for two-component preparation) and 3C group (for three-component preparation). Each group was further divided into a Reveos subgroup and a control subgroup. Blood components were prepared using the Reveos system and the current centrifugation method respectively. The 2C group yielded suspended red blood cells and plasma, while the 3C group yielded suspended red blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Key quality indicators for red blood cells, plasma, and platelets were measured before and after separation. Inter-group differences were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. Results: The trend of changes in the main performance indicators of red blood cells, plasma, and platelets before and after separation was generally consistent between the Reveos group and the control group, with no significant differences for most performance indicators. The Reveos system outperformed the current method in several aspects: in the 3C group, the hematocrit (Hct) was significantly higher in the Reveos group than in the control group [(62.82%±1.64%) vs (53.62%±3.04)%, P<0.001]; the white blood cell count in red blood cell suspensions was significantly lower than that in the control group [(3.37±1.42)×10
/L vs (8.42±2.30)×10
/L, P<0.001]; plasma yield was 27.5% higher than that in the control group [(183.90±17.37) mL vs (144.28±20.53) mL, P<0.001]; and the platelet activation rate was significantly lower than that in the control group [(21.97±14.25)% vs (34.73±11.92)%, P=0.044]. Conclusion: The Reveos system demonstrates good consistency with the current method in preparing blood components, and outperforms the current method in terms of leukocyte reduction and red blood cell concentration.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(4):522-526
Objective:
To investigate the emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children and the correlations with maternal parenting competence and family rearing environment, so as to provide a scientific basis and practical guidance for the physical and mental health development of preschool children.
Methods:
In June 2025, 660 preschool children aged 3-6 years old were selected from 10 kindergartens in Hefei, Anqing, and Tongling in Anhui Province by using a stratified cluster random sampling method. A questionnaire survey was conducted among all parents of preschool children using the Parent version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, the Child Family Rearing Environment Scale, and the Chinese version of the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale. Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the related factors of emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children. SPSS macro program Process 4.1 and Bootstrap method were used to test the mediating effect of family parenting environment between emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children and maternal parenting competence.
Results:
The detection rate of emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children was 20.15%. The total scores of family rearing environment and maternal parenting competence were negatively correlated with emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children ( r =-0.45,-0.79), and the total score of family rearing environment was positively correlated with the total score of maternal parenting competence ( r =0.43) (all P <0.01). Multiple linear regression showed that, after controlling whether being only child, parents educational level, registered residence location and other variables, family rearing environment, self efficacy and satisfaction were all negative predictors of emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children ( B =-0.07, -0.42, -0.42, all P <0.01). The mediation effect results showed that maternal parenting competence could positively predict the family rearing environment ( B =0.75), while maternal parenting competence and family rearing environment could both negatively predict emotional and behavioral problems among preschool children ( B =-0.49, -0.06 ) (all P <0.05). The Bootstrap sampling method test results showed that the effect value of the indirect effect of maternal parenting competence on emotional and behavioral problems through the family rearing environment was -0.04, and the effect proportion was 8.21 %.
Conclusion
Preschool children with a better family rearing environment and stronger maternal parenting competence are less likely to have emotional and behavioral problems, among which the family rearing environment has a mediating effect.

ObjectiveTo analyze the comorbidity patterns of chronic metabolic diseases and their influencing factors among residents aged 35‒75 years old in Nantong City of Jiangsu Province, and to provide theoretical support for the prevention and control of comorbidities. MethodsThe permanent residents aged 35‒75 years from the Comprehensive Prevention and Control Project of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases in Nantong City from 2021 to 2024 were selected as the research subjects. Clustering analysis and association rule were used to investigate the comorbidity patterns of chronic metabolic diseases, and their influencing factors were identified through logistic regression analyses. ResultsThe prevalence of comorbidity of chronic metabolic diseases among residents aged 35‒75 years in Nantong City was 47.40%. Among comorbidity patterns based on disease counts, the prevalence of hypertension+dyslipidemia was highest in binary comorbidity patterns (6.25%), while that of hypertension+dyslipidemia+obesity was highest in ternary comorbidity patterns (4.01%). Association rules showed that in both binary and ternary comorbidity patterns, the confidence level was highest for obesity+hypertension (72.70%) and obesity+dyslipidemia+hypertension (74.54%). Renal insufficiency formed an independent cluster in cluster analyses. Logistic regression analyses revealed that, compared with the non-comorbidity group, males (OR=2.22, 95%CI: 1.69‒2.91), advanced age (45‒54 years, OR=1.38, 95%CI: 1.02‒1.88; 55‒64 years, OR=1.59, 95%CI: 1.14‒2.23; 65‒75 years, OR=2.34, 95%CI: 1.58‒3.47), and low physical activity (OR=1.26, 95%CI: 1.10‒1.65) were influencing factors for metabolic disease comorbidity. ConclusionIn the comorbidity patterns of chronic metabolic diseases among residents aged 35‒75 years in Nantong City, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemia interact with each other. Individuals with obesity are more prone to diseases such as hypertension and dyslipidemia. Prevention and control of chronic metabolic diseases should be strengthened for males, individuals with low physical activity and advanced age.

Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2026;67(11):1148-1152
This paper summarizes Professor LIU Shangyi's clinical experience in treating acute mastitis based on the "membrane collaterals" theory. It is considered that constraint and stagnation of the membrane collaterrals is the primary pathogenic factor, with damp, heat, phlegm, and stasis being the secondary manifestations. If untreated, the condition can progress to heat toxin injuring the membrane. In treatment, the emphasis is diffusing and unblocking membrane collaterals, unblocking breast and relieving constraint. The clinical course of the disease can be divided into three stages including the early stage with mild constraint heat, the middle stage with escalating toxic heat, and the later stage with a decline of pathogens but deficiency of healthy qi. In correspondence, self-made Tongru Formula (通乳方) for diffusing membrane and venting constraint, self-made Toumo Jiedu Formula (透膜解毒方) for unblocking membrane and relieving toxin, and Tuoli Xiaodu Powder (托里消毒散) with modifications for restoring membrane and rectifying healthy qi should be used, respectively.

Objective:To explore the trajectory of changes in electronic health literacy in young and middle-aged patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) combined with diabetes mellitus (DM) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and to analyze its relationship with unplanned readmission within 30 days. Methods:A convenience sample of 210 young and middle-aged CHD patients with DM who underwent PCI in the Department of Cardiology, Xinxiang Central Hospital, from February 2023 to June 2024 was selected. The e-Health Literacy Scale (eHEALS) was used to assess electronic health literacy at the 3rd day (T 1), 15th day (T 2), and 30th day (T 3) after PCI. Unplanned readmission within 30 days after discharge was recorded. Latent class growth model (LCGM) was used to identify categories and characteristics of electronic health literacy trajectories. Kaplan-Meier method was applied to plot the cumulative incidence of 30-day unplanned readmission, and the Log-Rank test was used to compare differences among different trajectory types. Results:A total of 207 patients completed the entire survey and follow-up, with a valid response rate of 98.57% (207/210). eHEALS scores gradually increased after PCI, with scores of (6.75±1.31), (11.55±3.31), and (15.56±5.75) at T 1, T 2, and T 3, respectively. Two potential categories were identified: persistent low-level type (85 cases, 41.06%) and gradually improving type (122 cases, 58.94%). Twenty-six patients experienced unplanned readmission within 30 days, with an incidence of 12.56%. The proportions of unplanned readmission within 30 days were 20.00% (17/85) in the persistent low-level group and 7.38% (9/122) in the gradually improving group, with a statistically significant difference (χ 2=7.268, P=0.007). Kaplan-Meier cumulative risk function analysis showed that the cumulative incidence of 30-day unplanned readmission in the gradually improving group was lower than that in the persistent low-level group, with a statistically significant difference (Log-Rank=7.683, P=0.006) . Conclusions:Young and middle-aged CHD patients with DM after PCI show trajectory characteristics in electronic health literacy. Although the electronic health literacy of some patients gradually improved after PCI, persistent low-level literacy was still common, and patients in the persistent low-level group had a higher risk of 30-day unplanned readmission, which deserves clinical attention.
