  • DescriptionJournal of Kunming Medical University is a comprehensive academic journal of medicine, A4 format, founded in 1980, formerly known as “Journal of Kunming Medical College”, which is under the supervision of Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, hosted by Kunming Medical University, and edited and published by the editorial board of Journal of Kunming Medical University, and was published as a quarterly from 1980 to 2005, then as a bi-monthly from 2006, and then as a monthly from 2009, and then as a monthly from 2012, with the approval of higher authorities. In May 2012, the name was changed to Journal of Kunming Medical University with the approval of the higher authorities. The Journal of Kunming Medical University is one of the medical journals of Chinese colleges and universities, with the domestic uniform serial publication number: CN 53-1221/R and international serial publication number: ISSN 2095-610X.   The objectives and positioning of the Journal of Kunming Medical University are mainly reflected in three aspects: (1) The target readership is mainly teachers, postgraduates, doctoral students of medical schools, as well as professional researchers and medical practitioners in related medical fields. (2) The Journal of Kunming Medical University is dedicated to reporting the latest research results in the fields of basic medicine, clinical research, AIDS research, national fund review, nursing garden, pharmacy, and preventive medicine. (3) Journal of Kunming Medical University emphasises academic orientation and adheres to scientific, academic, advanced and innovative nature.   The aims of the Journal of Kunming Medical University are (1) to promote the exchange of medical information and (2) to serve the development of medicine and health in China. By providing a high-quality academic communication platform, it promotes knowledge innovation and information sharing in the medical field, thus making positive contributions to the development of medicine and health.   The significance of the Journal of Kunming Medical University to the worldwide dissemination of medical and health information is reflected in the following three aspects: (1) Promoting academic progress. By publishing high-quality academic papers, the Journal demonstrates the latest research results and cutting-edge progress in the field of medicine, providing an important channel for the academic community to learn about the latest research dynamics and acquire new knowledge, which helps to promote the continuous progress of medical science and improve the level of medicine at home and abroad. (2) Promote academic exchange and cooperation. As an open academic communication platform, Journal of Kunming Medical University attracts medical and health workers, researchers, and teachers and students of higher medical schools from all over the country to submit articles and read them. Through the platform of the Journal, experts and scholars in different fields can learn from each other, exchange ideas, and share their experiences, so as to promote cross-fertilisation of disciplines and innovative development.(3) Serving the cause of medicine and health. The Journal of Kunming Medical University not only pays attention to academic research in the field of medicine, but also focuses on transforming scientific research results into practical applications to serve the medical and health care of the society. By reporting the latest medical technology, treatment methods and preventive health care knowledge, the Journal provides strong support for improving people's health and quality of life.
